Our mission is to share meditation techniques and practices, as well as the wisdom of yoga philosophy, with tangible teachings that relate to modern day living and can be easily infused into your daily life.


Our Story

Hello! My name is Jessica Bowles. After 20yrs of practice and 14yrs of teaching yoga, I thought I was ready to hang up my teaching hat.  As my personal practice had continued to deepen throughout the years into all which the practice of yoga encompasses, all I saw around me was a lot of strictly Asana (posture) practice.  I knew that there was so much more, yet felt unable to share in my current environment.  I wanted to share all facets of yoga practice, especially meditation which at its core IS what yoga truly embodies.  But, first I needed to create a space for it. I decided to open up a small center to offer classes that shared the broaden view of the practices and teachings of Yoga, expanding on what was currently available in my area. It would be a place for all and be simply called The Meditation Room…. a community center, a central point where the community could gather, learn, practice, and grow.  

The community response was amazing!  Our signature classes were bursting at the seams and we were continuously receiving messages on when we were expanding into different areas or where they could find classes like this near them.  That is when realized that we could create an online community...growing a community without walls and expanding our reach. We created e-courses of our signature classes, expanded on our local classes, trainings, and retreats, as well as offering an online shop to create your own personal meditation space.  

We continue with our beginning purpose to share these healing practices, to grow and to expand our community, and creating tangible teachings to easily infuse into your life.  We hope to help you on your journey to health, joy, balance, clarity, and wellbeing.

Jessica Bowles E-RYT 500

Jessica has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1996. Her primary influences are the teachings of Erich Schiffmann and Michael Stone.

After teaching for 14 years, Jessica opened The Meditation Room, a community center for meditation, in her local community. Her passion to share the depth of yoga practices and lifestyle blossomed! She then realized that through online courses, she could create an community without walls and reach more with these life-transforming teachings. She truly believes that we have the ability to heal and change self-destructive patterns of the mind, by clearing the clutter that accumulates, with meditation and yoga practices.

- Annually studying with Michael Stone before his sudden passing in 2017 & Erich Schiffmann before his teaching hiatus the same year


Megan Minor RYT 500

Megan McFadden is 500hr RYT and a certified therapeutic yoga teacher. She has practiced yoga for 7 years and studied over 1000 hours in yoga theory. She specializes in teaching therapeutic yoga in one-on-one sessions and small group classes. Therapeutic yoga is the practice of carefully adapting and catering the yoga practices to suit individual needs. Therapeutic yoga aims to meets you where you are and helps you get to where you want to be in health and overall well being. Megan believes Yoga can empower an individual to be in harmony with health, wellbeing, and bliss!!
